- What types of data we use and why
3.1 Hosting
We use hosting services in order to provide the following: Infrastructure and platform services, computing capacity, storage space and database services, security services and technical maintenance services that we use to operate the website.
In order to provide these services we, or our hosting provider, process the inventory data, contact data, content data, usage data, meta data and communication data of customers, interested parties and visitors to this website. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interests in providing our website in an efficient and secure manner in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR in conjunction with Art. 28 GDPR.
3.2 Access data
Our server automatically logs every page view and saves the following data to a log file. In addition to the access date, the server also stores the full IP address, the file requested, the referrer (origin) and a browser identifier. This data is used exclusively for security purposes. This enables us to initiate defensive measures in the event of an attack on our server and to make the data available for subsequent investigation. This data is not analysed. This data is available for a maximum of 7 days and is then automatically deleted.
3.3 Cookies
We use cookies to optimise the functionality of our website. A cookie is a small text file that is sent by the respective servers when you visit a website. It is temporarily stored on your hard drive.
You can set your browser to inform you in advance when cookies are set. This allows you to decide whether you want to reject cookies in certain cases or in general, or to completely block cookies from being set on your browser. This may stop parts of the website from working properly.
3.4 Contact form and email
If you contact us (via the contact form or by sending an email), we will process your data to deal with your enquiry and any further requirements resulting from this. We shall not pass on this data to third parties without your consent.
If we process your data in order to carry out pre-contractual measures in response to your enquiry or, if you are already a customer, to implement the contract, the legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. b) GDPR.
We only process other personal data if you consent to this (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a) GDPR) or if we have a legitimate interest in processing your data (Art. 6 para. 1 f) GDPR). Responding to your email, for example, would represent a legitimate interest.
3.5 Google Fonts
This site uses web fonts to display fonts in a uniform manner. These are provided by Google (https://fonts.google.com/). To do this, your browser loads the required web font into your browser cache when you visit our site. This allows your browser to display a visually improved presentation of our texts. If your browser does not support this feature, our texts will be displayed using a standard font from your computer.

This means that when you access the page where the video is embedded, a connection is established with YouTube and the DoubleClick network, but no cookies are stored on your computer. However, if you click on one of the videos, this will trigger further data processing operations over which the website operator no longer has any influence.
- Storage duration
Unless specifically stated, we only store personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes pursued.
In some cases, the legislator provides for the retention of personal data, for example in tax or commercial law. In these cases, we shall only store the data for these legal purposes, but shall not process it in any other way and shall delete it after the statutory retention period has expired.

We shall delete your data if it is no longer required for its intended purpose and no statutory retention periods apply. If we cannot delete your data because it is required for authorised legal purposes, we shall restrict the processing of your data processing. In this case, we shall block your data and shall not process it for other purposes.
